Canada has new Corded Window Covering Regulations
On May 1, 2022 Health Canada implemented new regulations on corded window covering products. This change eliminated a substantial amount of current shade & blind options for purchase Canada wide.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? It means that any & all window coverings that do not meet the newest standards cannot be shipped into or manufactured in Canada.
WHY IS THIS A BIG DEAL? Consumers should be aware that they will lose the option to purchase shades or blinds with operating cords, exposed cords, or any style of top-down shades. Top-down is our most popular seller & has been for years.
WHAT PRODUCTS ARE BEING ELIMINATED?

Top-Down Shades: Honeycomb Cellular Shades, Pleated Shades, Natural Shades & Roman Shades (cords connecting the headrail to travelling rail)
Tri-Light Shades (cords within the sheer pleats on the top half of the shade)
Pleated Shadesleated Shades (cords within the pleats of the shade)
2" Pleat Honeycomb Cellular Shades (cords on the back side of the shade)
Skylight Shades (cords on the inside of the frame on each side of the shade)
Vertical Blinds (cords on the bottom of the blind connecting each vane)
Horizontal Slat Blinds: Faux Wood Blinds, Wood Blinds, Aluminum Blinds & Vinyl Blinds (the cords throughout the blinds connecting each slat)
All Chain & Nylon Cord Operating Systems
