Roller Shades are the perfect pairing with custom drapery, not only due to the contrast in texture and style, for bedrooms that require pitch black; the drapes will cover the 1/4” - 1/2” gap between the window casing & the blind’s edge.

SOLAR SHADES

a.k.a Roller Shades

Solar Shades are essentially Roller Shades; they look the same & function the same. The difference is Roller Shade fabrics are purely decorative, whereas Solar Shade fabrics are more practical. They are mainly made of PVC materials with openness factors from 1% up to 14%, 1% openness being the least amount of pinholes throughout the shade & 14% being the most open weave. Since they are made of wipeable materials, Solar Shades are typically used in industrial settings like office buildings & warehouses or in rooms of a home such as kitchens & bathrooms where a more wipeable fabric is needed.
